ROGER WILLIAMS WRESTLING CAMP
JULY 13th-16th, 2023
"I just wanted to send you a brief note to let you know how impressed our son was with the RWU campus, counselors & instructors while he was at your wrestling camp last week. My wife & I thought it would be a good idea to get him on a few college campuses this summer so he could start figuring out what type of campus life he liked. Being able to send him down to RWU for a wrestling camp seemed a perfect fit. He texted us every night telling us that the camp was very challenging, that the instructors appeared to be very committed to the campers' learning and that the food was very good! I came down on Sunday to watch the tournament & bring him home and was very impressed with the level of talent at the tournament and how everything was run. Thank you for directing such a quality summer wrestling camp. He still has two years of HS left, but he is already talking about going back down to RWU next summer to attend the camp again and have even a closer look at the campus."

"For what it is worth, I received a text from our son this morning who is at this camp. He reports that the level of instruction being delivered "is very detailed & specific" (his words). He says the food is good, the dorm rooms are good but the bathrooms per floor are a bit tight given the amount of kids on each floor. My wife replied back "suck it up, buttercup- welcome to dorm life!" Seriously though, our son has been to a few camps and has wrestled specific off-seasons at a few different clubs and he says that the RWU camp instructors really appear committed to make sure each kid in their group understands the move being taught prior to moving on. He said that live wrestling on Thursday & Friday nights has been very challenging as well. As a parent, it is nice to know your kid is getting something out of such a camp."

"My son really enjoyed the camp, during the tournament he focused on the moves he learned rather than wins or losses. He has stated he would like to go back again. The campus, coaching, number of wrestlers made for a perfect experience. My son doesn't express his thoughts often, for him to speak as he did means a lot. I hope you host another camp next summer maybe even a little longer. Look forward to next summer in hopes you will host another camp."
